GeoSnapShot hosts photos from thousands of events around the world. Here are the fastest ways to find yours.
How GeoSnapShot fits in: we are the photo platform that sports clubs, schools and event organisers use to share and sell their event photos. We don't attend the event or take the pictures — the organiser arranges that. It is worth knowing, because it explains which questions we can answer and which ones only your event organiser can.
Option 1: search by event name
Type the name of your event in the search bar.
Open the event gallery.
Option 2: find yourself with a selfie
Once you are in the event gallery, face search can find photos of you — if the organiser has enabled it for that event.
Open the event gallery, as above.
Click Selfie in the left sidebar of the gallery.
Choose Upload Selfie or Take a Selfie.
GeoSnapShot will look for photos of you within that event.
Face search works best with a recent, clear photo where your face is visible and well lit. Sunglasses, helmets and caps make a match harder.
Option 3: search by bib number
For running, cycling and triathlon events, look for a bib number search option in the left sidebar of the event gallery. If it isn't there, the organiser has switched it off for that event.
Selfie search didn't find you
There is more than one reason for this, and they need different answers. Work down this list in order.
Check whether all the photos are up yet. If the gallery shows the Photos are still being uploaded to this event banner, more are still coming — click Notify me and we will email you once the event is complete. If there is no banner, every photo has already been uploaded.
Try a different selfie. If your first one was taken in poor light, at an angle, or with sunglasses on, a clear front-on photo in good light is worth a try.
Browse the gallery as well. Not every photo can be matched to a face. Someone photographed from behind, in a crowd, or partly obscured may still be in the gallery but won't come up in a selfie search.
You may not have been photographed. At a large event no photographer captures everybody. If all the photos are up and you have browsed the gallery, this is the most likely answer — and the event organiser is the right person to ask about what photography was arranged.
Photos still being uploaded?
If you see the Photos are still being uploaded to this event banner, click Notify me and leave your email address. We will email you when every photo has been added.
If that banner is not showing, the event is already fully uploaded and no more photos are coming.
You can't find the event at all
The event may not be on GeoSnapShot. Organisers choose their own photo platform, so not every event is here. Ask the event organiser where their photos are.
The gallery may be password-protected. The organiser sets that password and decides who receives it — we don't hold it. Check the emails they sent you when you registered, or ask them directly.
The gallery may require a selfie before any photos are shown. This is a privacy setting some organisers choose.
Still stuck
Email [email protected] if the gallery or the search isn't working properly. For questions about which photos were taken at your event, or whether the event is on GeoSnapShot at all, the event organiser is the right contact.
