As a photographer, you can use GeoSnapShot to secure more work and increase your revenue by offering event organizers a seamless way to manage, share, and sell photos. Here’s how you can do it:
1. Hire Photographers & Share Photos for Free
Offer event organizers the option to hire photographers at a set fee, and let them share photos for free with their community and fans. (There is a platform cost for free sharing, based on photo uploads—see our pricing calculator when creating your event.)
Custom brand the gallery with colors, watermarks, or sponsor logos on every shared photo. This helps boost brand visibility for the event and its sponsors.
Participants will be encouraged to share photos on social media, driving more engagement and awareness. Sponsors can track this engagement through download stats and views.
2. Hire Photographers & Sell Photos to Participants
Suggest that event organizers hire photographers and sell the photos directly to participants. This can cover or even exceed the photographer hire costs.
Embed the photo gallery directly onto the event website, and promote where participants can easily purchase their photos.
Event organizers can set prices and track the number of photos sold, helping to increase overall sales while keeping the event's participants engaged.
3. Offer Free Photographers & Sell Photos Directly to Participants
If event organizers can’t afford to hire photographers, offer a free option where you provide the media for the event, and photographers can sell the photos to participants.
You can embed the gallery into the event website and promote it via email and social media.
This is a great way to keep the event’s community engaged while still enabling you to sell your photos directly to the participants.
Earn Extra by Becoming an Event Affiliate – 10% of All Sales
As an event affiliate, you earn 10% of all photos sold during an event—whether the photos were taken by you or other photographers. This means you can earn from large events with multiple photographers, not just your own work.
Earn from Photographer Referrals – 10% of Every Sale
When you refer other photographers to GeoSnapShot, you can earn 10% from all photos they sell, whether or not the event is connected to you.
Photographers keep 70% of their photo sales, and you still get 10% from GeoSnapShot’s cut, without affecting their earnings.
Choose Your Affiliate Structure – Max 10% Total
You can choose to focus on being an Event Affiliate, a Photographer Referral Affiliate, or split your 10% affiliate earnings between both options. For example, you can choose to earn 5% from event sales and 5% from referred photographer sales.
Note: The total affiliate earnings you can make from both streams combined is capped at 10% (not 20%).
